While living in Montreal, Quebec, with most of his friends being immigrants from different backgrounds and wanting to help relatives and friends immigrate to Canada, he took real interest in the federal immigration programs. He linked up with Jean Emile Barakat, a lawyer in Montreal who took his time to educate him on the various available immigration programs then, how they work, and how to apply for them. Jean Emile Barakat has agents or offices in China, India, Bangladesh, Philippines, and some other places around the globe. James Amoah worked with this lawyer in screening prospective immigrants, putting their files together, opening and submission of their files for some years. He started out just helping Emile to help his friends but as the years went by it became a serious work. They had a real success especially because of Quebec’s special immigration status within the Canadian federal system.

His latest job was as a team leader in a Volvo plant at Huron Park, near London Ontario, but helping immigrants has always been on his mind and heart.

Now that he is semi-retired, with all the time that he has, he believes this is the time to pursue that which he has always loved. Having always updated himself on the various federal and regional programs, with the rich experience that has been acquired over the years, and knowing what Jean Emile Barakat’s chambers stands for, he believes he is in the right establishment and ready to offer the establishment his very best so, under the umbrella of Jageo Consult group, he has gone into an agreement to represent Jean Emile Barakat chambers as an agent in Ghana and the rest of Africa in all matters of immigration. He works with Emile within set up IRCC regulations.
